For three weeks in April, Vimy Ridge Academy held a fundraising event called “Project SOS” (Spirit of the Students) to raise money for the Edmonton branch of Habitat for Humanity. Students canvassed friends and neighbours for donations and they participated in various fundraising activities at school. Students who raised more than $150 became King or Queen for a day. The event raised more than $30,600 for Habitat for Humanity.
